Hey, you asked for examples, and these are just a few. Why don't you provide some examples of teams who's running games drop off dramatically when their star RB is injured or leaves the team. There really aren't that many. Maybe one that I can think of off the top of my head, and even that's iffy.

Curtis Martin.

He left the Pats to go to the Jets (as an RFA) the Pats drafted Robert Edwards, Edwards had a career ending knee injury and...they didn't have a good runner again until Corey Dillon.
